Our Mission Statement

All of the animals at Estherville are survivors.  ​

​Some are survivors of abuse and neglect; some are survivors of cancer or other medical ailments; some are survivors of the ill-perceived judgment of others because of their breed or past action. Like all survivors they don't want pity or sympathy, they only want to be loved and to give TONS of unconditional love in return.

All the animals at Estherville are beautiful-both inside and out, & cannot wait to share all of their joy & undying love with a forever family.

It is our mission to not only give them the food, water, shelter and veterinary care they need to physically survive but to also guide them on their journey of finding a forever home by helping them be the best they can be.  This is accomplished by offering them love, support and understanding along the way.

Mistakes may be made -- no one is perfect. What is important to remember is that Estherville is, has been, and always will be a No-Kill Animal

Shelter. If an animal "loses its way" after being adopted from Estherville and behaves in a way that deems them "unadoptable" by others outside of the Shelter that animal need not worry, because it will ALWAYS have a safe,warm and loving home at Estherville.
